I love this place with all my pseudo-meat loving heart. This place had food that rivals it’s real counter parts and wins. Everything I’ve had here has been delicious and greasy. It’s the kind of place that my knees are thankful I don’t live near because I might be twice my size as a result.
The one meal that detoured me from not just veganism but vegetarianism was the buffalo chicken wrap. There’s something about the mix of tangy and crispy wrapped in crunchy, fresh lettuce that I hadn’t been able to find a substitute for. I definitely couldn’t find anything like it in Boston. The faux fried chicken here is beyond deceiving. I was pretty convinced I was eating real chicken.
I added a side of their chipotle cheese fries which was both a good and bad decision. The soy cheese they use was the closest to tasting like real cheese. (of the Kraft velveeta variety at least) Their fries are deliciously golden and breaded to boot. This was definitely one of my favorite meals since starting vegan summer simply because it filled the small food void I lacked since starting this. The only issue I had was just how greasy and heavy the food was. I hadn’t really been eating anything that greasy in the past couple months so it hit me like a ton of bricks. A delicious ton of bricks.
I must also note that they have a delectable looking case of sweets at the front counter. Their list of milkshakes and floats is also impressive. I will surely be back here for the chili and burgers next time I’m in town.
